Ingredients Required for Preparing Oats Rava Idli
- Roasted rava – 1 cup
- Oats – 1 and 1/2 cup
- Sour thick curd – 2 cups
- Onions (finely chopped) – 1/2 cup
- Green chilli paste – 1 tea spoon
- Carrots (granted) – 1/4 cup
- Coriander leaves (finely chopped) – 1 tea spoon
- Green peas (cooked) 1/4 cup
- Oil – 1 and 1/2 tea spoon
- cooking soda – 1/4 tea spoon
- Cashew nuts (browned) – 1/4 cup
- Black gram dal (Urad dal) – 1 tea spoon
- Bengal gram dal (Chana dal) – 2 tea spoon
- Mustard seeds – 1/2 tea spoon
- Salt – as per taste
Method for Preparing Oats Rava Idli
- For preparing oats rava idli, firstly soak the roasted rava in sour thick curd for 5 miinutes.
- Next add oats to it and soak it for another 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, take a pan and add some oil to it and heat it
- Add black gram dal. mustard seeds, chopped onions, bengal gram dal, green chilli paste and fry.
- Next add peas to this mixture and mixture.
- Next pour this mixture on the roasted rava and oats mixture.
- Now add coriander leaves, salt, and cooking soda to the mixture and mix well.
- Now take the idli moulds and grease them.
- Put a browned cashew nut and some grated carrot in the mould and pour rava and oats mixture on the moulds.
- Now steam cook the mixture for about 8 minutes
- Remove the idlies from the moulds once the cooker cools.
- Your tasty oats rava idli is ready to serve.
