Ingredients Required for Preparing Pepper Chicken
- Chicken – 800 Gms
- Freshly ground pepper – 1 and 1/2 Tbsp
- Onions – 2 (Large sized)
- Tomatoes – 2 (Large sized)
- coconut Milk – 1 Cup
- Green Chillies – 3
- Garlic Paste – 2 Tsp
- Ginger Paste – 2 Tbsp
- Red chilli powder – 1/2 Tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 Tsp
- Coriander powder – 1 Tbsp
- Curry leaves – 6
- Cooking oil – 2 Tbsp
- Chopped Coriander leaves – 2 Tbsp
- Salt – As per the taste
Method for Preparing Pepper Chicken
- Cut the chicken into 8 pieces and clean it thoroughly with water.
- Finely chop onions, tomatoes, and green chillies and keep aside.
- Take a deep pan and add cooking oil to it. Heat it on a medium flame.
- Add chopped Onion pieces, and curry leaves and fry till the onion pieces turn into golden brown color.
- Now add garlic paste, ginger paste, chopped green chilli pieces and chopped tomato pieces. Cook them till the tomato pieces become pulpy.
- Now add chicken to it and allow it cook till the chicken pieces starts changing.
- Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and grounded pepper powder to it and mix well.
- Add coconut milk and salt to it. Increase the flame, and allow the mixture to boiling point.
- Now lower the flame to medium flame and cover the pan with lid. Leave the mixture for cooking until the chicken gets completely cooked.
- Just before turning off the flame, garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.
- Your Pepper chicken is ready for serving.
