Ingredients Required for Bamboo Chicken
- Chicken – 1/4Kg
- Red chilli powder – 2 Tbsp
- Dhania Powder (Coriander Powder) – 2 Tsp
- Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 Tsp
- Salt – As per the taste
- Fresh Bamboo – 6 inches Section
- Wheat dough
Method for Preparing Bamboo Chicken
- Clean the chicken pieces well and apply red chilli powder, dhania powder, ginger-garlic paste, and salt to them thoroughly.
- Keep the marinated pieces aside for an hour.
- Cut a fat bamboo stick section in such a way that, one side is closed and another side is open.
- Insert the marinated chicken pieces into the bamboo stick through the opening.
- Now close the opening with wheat dough.
- Prepare a camp fire made of wood or coal
- Insert this bamboo stick into the fire
- In between the turn the bamboo stick such that it gets burned from all sides
- As soon as the stuffed bamboo stick gets half burned, remove it from the fire. (make sure that the stuffed bamboo doesn’t get burnt completely because by this the chicken pieces will get over fried)
- Break it and remove the chicken pieces carefully into a separate plate.
- If you want, you can garnish it with coriander leaves, sliced onion and small tomato pieces.
- Your bamboo chicken is ready to get served as a snack or as a side dish.
