Chicken Reshmi Kabab Recipe Traditional Mughlai Dish

Chicken Reshmi Kabab is an Mughlai chicken recipe. This very delicious and juicy to eat. You can use also prawns in the preparation of this kabab. This can be a wonderful and mouth watering side dish for your lunch or dinner. This can be eaten directly, or else you can have it pudiney ka chutney. Ingredients Required for Preparing Chicken Reshmi Kabab

  • Boneless Chicken Pieces (Cubes) – 2 Cups
  • Grated Ginger – 1 Tsp
  • Garlic Paste – 1 Tsp
  • Green Chillies – 2 (Chopped into small pieces)
  • Besan (Gram Flour) – 2 Tsp
  • Coriander Leaves – Few
  • Fresh Cream (Malai) – 1/2 Cup
  • Cooking Oil – 1 Tsp
For Marination
  • Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 Tsp
  • Pepper – 1/2 Tsp
  • Dhania Powder (Coriander Seeds Powder) – 1/2 Tsp
  • Jeera Powder (Cumin Seeds Powder) – 2 Tsp
  • Lemon Juice – 2 Tsp
  • Salt – As per Taste
  • Food Color – Pinch

Method for Preparing Chicken Reshmi Kabab

  1. Wash the chicken pieces thoroughly, and squeeze the water out them.
  2. Take a bowl and add these chicken pieces into it.
  3. Now add pepper, salt, dhania powder, red chilli powder, jeera powder, lemon juice and food color to the bowl.
  4. Now mix well the whole mixture.
  5. Leave it aside for marinating for about 3 hours.
  6. Once marination time is completed, take a small bowl and add garlic paste, grated ginger, green chilli pieces, and besan into it.
  7. Mix them well and make it into a paste.
  8. Add this paste mixture to bowl containing marinated chicken pieces and mix well.
  9. Take a bowl and beat fresh cream thoroughly and add chicken pieces into it.
  10. Thread each chicken piece side by side to skewers.
  11. Grease these chicken pieces with cooking oil.
  12. If you are using Oven for preparation
    • Place these skewers in the oven and bake it for around 25 minutes on 200 degrees Centigrade.
  13. If you are using Grill for preparation
    • Place the skewers on the grill and cook them until the chicken is completely cooked. Make sure to rotate the skewers now and then, such that chicken gets cooked from all sides.
  14. After baking process is completed, remove them from the skewers and place them on a separate plate.
  15. If you want, garnish them with sliced onion pieces.
  16. Your yummy chicken reshmi kabab is ready. Serve them hot.
