Bread Pakoda Recipe
Following are the main ingredients for this snackIngredients
potatoes- 3 big size ( boiled )
onion-1 (chopped )
green chillies 2-3
coriander leaves- 2-3 tbsp
salt- 1tsp
red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
turmeric powder - 1 pinch
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
cumin seeds- 1 tsp
ginger paste- 1/2 tsp
amchoor powder-1 tsp
Garam masala- 1 tsp
green chutney- dhaniya pudina chatny- tbsp
tomato ketchup or meethi chutney - 4 tbsp
ingredients for covering
bread slices - 6( white bread ) or as required
gram flour /besan - 2 cups ( coarse Besan )
salt-1/2 tsp
baking soda - 1 pinch
red chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
carom seeds- 1/2tsp
water- 1+1/2 cups + 2 tbsp
Oil for deep frying the bread pakoras
Procedure
Following are the required procedure to prepare Bread Pakoda.
Step 1 : Boil Patotoes
Step 2: Peel Boiled Potatoes
Step 3: Smash the potatoes
Step 4: Add 1 finely chopped green chilli, 2 tablespoons finely chopped coriander leaves, 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder, 1 teaspoon cumin-coriander powder, 1/4 teaspoon dry mango powder, a pinch of garam masala powder and salt.
Step 5: Prepare the besan batter. Add 1 tablespoon rice flour, a pinch of baking soda, 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder and salt in a dekchi or bowl along with 1 cup gram flour(Besan). Add water as required till a thick batter is ready.
Step 6: Grab two slice of bread, stuff the smashed potatoes. Dip in the besan batter and fry in oil till it turns golden brown.
Bread Pakora is ready. Enjoy with Pudina Chutney or tomato ketchup.
