Ingredients Required for Preparing Mutton Chilly Fry

  • Mutton – 1/2 Kilo (Small Pieces)
  • Red chillies – 8
  • Cumin seeds – 2tsp
  • Garam Masala – 1 tsp
  • Onions – 2 (Finely Chopped)
  • Tamarind Paste – 2tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder – 1 tbsp
  • Curry Leaves – 6 to 8 leaves
  • Coriander Leaves – 2 tbsp
  • Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 tbsp
  • Cooking Oil – 4 tbsp
  • Salt – As per taste

Method for Preparing Mutton Chilly Fry

  1. Wash the mutton. Add salt, turmeric powder and some ginger garlic paste to it and mix well.
  2. Keep the mixture aside for 15 minutes for marination.
  3. Meanwhile grind red chillies, garam masala, and cumin seeds together and keep aside.
  4. Take a cooking pan and add oil to it. Heat the oil and fry the finely chopped onions in it. Fry them till they turn into golden brown color.
  5. Add remaining ginger garlic paste, and grind masala, which we kept aside to the oil and fry.
  6. Now add the marinated mutton pieces, and tamarind paste to it and mix well.
  7. Fry the mixture until the pieces get cooked enough.
  8. Once they are cooked, add curry leaves and coriander leaves to it.
  9. Cook it for some more time and take it into a separate dish.
  10. Your mutton chilly fry is ready to get tasted.
