Ignaz Semmelweis is known as the father of handwash. He was born on July 1, 1818, in Buda, Kingdom of Hungary. He was a Hungarian physician and scientist. He had discovered the handwash with an antiseptic element can reduce down the incidence of puerperal fever. He was the one responsible for the practice of washing hands with antiseptic solutions such as chlorinated lime.

Today the whole world is struggling with the pandemic "coronavirus". Developed and developing nations have initiated to find out the vaccine to prevent it from spreading. Frequent handwash has been suggested to the people to keep self away from being a victim of this virus.

Thanks to Ignaz who had suggested the practice of handwash. Research says coronavirus spread through touch only. So frequent handwash is helpful to protect self.
