Ignaz Semmelweis
Ignaz Semmelweis is known as the father of handwash. He was born on July 1, 1818, in Buda, Kingdom of Hungary. He was a Hungarian physician and scientist. He had discovered the handwash with an antiseptic element can reduce down the incidence of puerperal fever. He was the one responsible for the practice of washing hands with antiseptic solutions such as chlorinated lime.
